The Pathfinders is a cross-regional impact hub of 46 member states, as well as partners across international organizations, civil society, and the private sector committed to advancing the Sustainable Development Goal targets for peace, justice, inclusion, and equality (SDG16+).
Co-founded and hosted by the NYU Center on International Cooperation, the Pathfinders work to accelerate delivery of SDG16+ through three “Grand Challenges:” Halving Global Violence, Justice for All, and addressing Inequality and Exclusion.
Driven by research, evidence, and a multi-stakeholder approach, the Pathfinders act at international levels to support effective policy, advocacy, and convening for a world that is free of fear and violence.
The international mobilization to halve global violence by 2030 is led by the Halving Global Violence Task Force, a diverse and exceptional group of "architects" working to help policymakers worldwide deliver on this ambitious agenda.
The Pathfinders’ Grand Challenge on Justice acts as an impact hub, bringing together countries, civil society, and multilateral organizations to close the justice gap by investing in people-centered justice.
The Pathfinders' Grand Challenge on Inequality & Exclusion is a cross-regional alliance of countries, civil society, and multilateral partners seeking to identify practical, politically-viable solutions to combat inequality, exclusion, and divisions at the national and international level, and advocating for the achievement of the 2030 Agenda targets for more equitable and inclusive societies (SDG16+).
First launched at the 72nd Session of the UN General Assembly, the Roadmap for Peaceful, Just, and Inclusive Societies provides a shared vision for how to deliver the 2030 Agenda targets for peaceful, just, and inclusive societies (SDG16+).
