As part of the Devex UNGA 79 Summit, Fernando Marani (Program Director, Inequality and Exclusion) will highlight the need for the Global Digital Compact in the side event, “Navigating geopolitical tensions and shaping the future of the internet.”

The Devex summit, The Future Can’t Wait: Shaping Tomorrow, Today, will tackle four critical themes:

  • Adapting to a changing planet: Explore support for climate adaptation, secure food systems, and managing crises in the climate context.
  • Innovating for global health and well-being: Discover insights on accelerating health solutions, tackling noncommunicable diseases, preventing pandemics, and combating antimicrobial resistance.
  • Partnering for a better future: Learn how partnerships and technologies, including artificial intelligence, can drive the Sustainable Development Goals and manage associated risks.
  • Renewing trust and rethinking systems: Engage in fostering trust, promoting youth leadership, advancing gender equality, and rethinking political, economic, and social systems for a more equitable future.
