Focusing on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) under review this year, in particular SDG5 and reflecting on SDG16, which are both often acknowledged for having an enabling effect for the 2030 Agenda, the side event will address the critical importance of utilizing partnerships toward the implementation of the SDGs, including by exploring concrete examples that have been successful with respect to violence prevention and small arms control, gender-responsive justice and security services, and economic empowerment.
